TaxAct introduces updated mobile app
TaxAct has updated its mobile app to simplify the process of completing and filing tax returns, and to offer more customizable options. The app is available for smartphone, iPad and Android tablet users.
The TaxAct mobile app points first-time TaxAct customers to the most appropriate TaxAct product and tax-return forms, based on information about their individual tax situation and preferences, when they begin the process. Filers can switch between multiple devices to complete a tax return while it’s in progress. The app is also able to pull W-2 data from the form and automatically populate it into customers' tax returns.
The app makes use of Apple’s 3D Touch technology, which is available on iPhone 6 and later models. Apple 3D Touch senses how much pressure is used on a touch; within TaxAct, it gives users access to a library of commonly asked questions about determining the right TaxAct product for their tax-filing needs. For example, customers who do not know if they qualify to file as head of household can utilize 3D Touch technology in the app to select the term "filing status," and view the information they seek without leaving the page.
